The use of the new technologies makes possible development of the companies around the world. Computers, telephony IP, servers, telecommunication, e-mail, are very important tools used by companies to increase their production. But not only the advances are merit of the technology, the manipulation that people give to the technology, makes the ideal complement to obtain the final result of the production.
In the last years, the improvements in graphic design, communication speed, video games, etc, transformed the technology into attractiveness mainly for the young users. The power to communicate with people although they are at long distances was a great step.
This attraction of technology begins a new problem between employers and employees. The employers facilitate tools in benefit of the business, the development and growth of the company, with the idea that the use is responsibility on the part of the employees, in many cases a conflict of interests can exist, because employers want to be sure their employees are doing a good job, but employees also use the tools for personal activities, for example use of e-mail, this is something that constantly generates legal conflicts because although the mail is a tool facilitated by the company to carry out a work, the employee can also make use of the tools for personal benefit, and it is not legal that the boss forces the employee to show him the e-mail unless the employee agrees.
I don't know if is legal that a boss to request a collaborator to show hers mail, because the mail can also contain the employee's private documents. I consider mail cannot be verified by the boss, unless it is needed to solve a serious problem or that it attempts against the company and always with a legal support. That is wanted to clarify more serious topic as person death, and that it is believed that in the mail it can be evidence that helps to solve the conflict. Otherwise the employee should be supported legally so that it is not attempted against his privacy. In my personal opinion should exist a document with politics about the technologies facilitated by the company to avoid inconveniences.
